InMotion Hosting Deploys Monarx ThreatShield Across Server Fleet
A 40% reduction in security-related support cases has prompted InMotion Hosting to deepen its partnership with Monarx by deploying the ThreatShield runtime protection system across its entire infrastructure. The move shifts the responsibility of active threat defense from individual website owners to the hosting provider’s core server layer.

Traditional firewalls typically inspect web traffic before it reaches an application, but ThreatShield functions within the application runtime. This allows it to monitor not just the appearance of a request, but its actual behavior during execution. By operating at this depth, the system can identify and block complex threats including SQL injection, cross-site scripting, remote code execution, and automated bot attacks.
Trey Faison, Director of Products at InMotion Hosting, noted that integrating this technology into the infrastructure ensures advanced protection for customers without requiring manual configuration. The deployment represents a strategic shift toward automated, proactive security designed to neutralize vulnerabilities before traditional firewall signatures or rules are even developed. This rollout builds on a collaboration that began in 2021, which initially focused on reducing manual intervention for malware and phishing incidents. Monarx continues to provide specialized security tools for hosting providers, while InMotion remains focused on managing its own bare-metal hardware and private network for over 170,000 clients.
