AARCH Society Marks Heritage Center Milestone with Faith Celebration
Gathering under the banner "We've Come This Far by Faith," Frederick's faith community will convene at Hood College’s Coffman Chapel on August 30, 2026, to celebrate the upcoming October launch of the African American Heritage Center, an initiative spearheaded by the AARCH Society to honor local history and communal contributions.
The afternoon program features Peabody award-winning producer Jacquie Gales Webb, who will serve as master of ceremonies. Musical and performance tributes will include the Frederick County Mass Choir, the All Saints Ringers Handbell Choir, and the Hope Christian Fellowship Church’s liturgical dance team. The event is free to the public, though organizers will accept a freewill offering to support the center's ongoing mission.
