While most electric vehicles rely on one to four motors for propulsion, the MaximusZ utilizes two for drive power and three dedicated to its cutting blades. This configuration allows for tight, smooth maneuvering that rivals sophisticated automotive handling. Built on an 80-volt architecture, the mower draws energy from a combination of four 6.0Ah batteries and two 17-pound 16Ah packs, totaling 56Ah of capacity.
Greenworks, a Changzhou-based manufacturer that expanded its footprint with a Tennessee facility in 2023, is aggressively positioning this model as a premium alternative to gas-powered equipment. Despite the machine's impressive performance specs and domestic production, the ecosystem remains somewhat fragmented. Users must contend with a proprietary charging system, a notable friction point for a company that manages a vast, often incompatible range of battery-powered products.
