Nvidia Expands GeForce Now with Steam Controller and DLSS Upgrades
Nvidia is integrating official support for Valve’s Steam Controller and Steam Machines into its GeForce Now cloud gaming service. Starting with the Steam Deck, the rollout will extend to Windows and macOS users later this year, marking a significant expansion in peripheral compatibility for the platform’s growing subscriber base.
Beyond hardware support, Nvidia is rolling out technical enhancements including new DLSS 4.5 controls. These updates cover Super Resolution, Dynamic Frame Generation, and Ray Reconstruction, the latter of which now moves into early access for RTX GPUs. The service also simplifies user access through GOG single sign-on and expanded availability on Amazon Fire TV Sticks, alongside recent support for the Firefox browser.
Looking toward the fall, Nvidia announced that EA, Embark, and Ubisoft will support the upcoming RTX Spark chip family. Upcoming titles such as EA Sports F1 25, Apex Legends, Arc Raiders, and Anno 117: Pax Romana are slated to utilize the new hardware. Additionally, EA is developing native Javelin Anticheat support for its major multiplayer titles, while fans of 007 First Light can expect a path tracing update this September.
