Chris Hemsworth Takes Stake in Archie Rose as Distillery Eyes U.S. Market

Actor Chris Hemsworth has joined Sydney-based Archie Rose Distilling Co. as a co-owner, a strategic move timed with the independent producer's first major expansion into the United States. The partnership aims to leverage Hemsworth’s global profile to elevate the brand’s distinctively Australian whisky and gin on the international stage.

Founded in 2014 by Will Edwards, the distillery has built its reputation on local sourcing, using heirloom grains and native botanicals. Hemsworth, a long-time admirer of the brand, described the spirits as a sensory connection to the Australian bush. The actor’s involvement coincides with a broader push to scale production and reach new consumers, bolstered by a distribution network led by Reyes Beverage Group in the U.S. market.

Beyond the American debut this fall, the company plans to release three whiskies co-created with Hemsworth in Asia and New Zealand later this year, followed by an entry into the EU and UK in 2027. This growth follows the distillery's June 2026 B Corp certification, a milestone that aligns with Hemsworth’s interest in environmental conservation. With over 450 global accolades, including wins for the world's best rye whisky and gin, the company is positioning itself as a premium challenger in the crowded global spirits landscape.
