The Screening Partnership Program enables the TSA to utilize private contractors for passenger and baggage inspection at airports while retaining federal security oversight. For VMD, this award serves as a continuation of their existing role in the program, where they already manage screening operations at major hubs including Kansas City International Airport and San Francisco International Airport.

Danny Olmes, President of Aviation Security at Xcelerate Solutions, noted that the contract reflects the agency's confidence in the firm’s ability to handle complex airport environments. By leveraging this IDIQ vehicle, the company aims to scale its workforce expertise and security technologies to support the TSA’s mandate. VMD, now under the Xcelerate Solutions umbrella, remains a key vendor for federal agencies tasked with protecting national physical and cyber infrastructure.
