Teledyne LeCroy Debuts First PCIe 6.0 SSD Validation Platforms
As AI and cloud workloads push storage infrastructure to its limits, Milpitas-based Teledyne LeCroy has launched the OakGate R300-G6-PRO and DE200-G6-PRO. These systems mark the industry's first native validation platforms capable of testing NVMe SSDs across the entire storage path at full PCIe 6.0 speeds.
The new platforms are engineered to address the complexities of next-generation data storage, where the leap to PCIe 6.0 bandwidth introduces significant testing hurdles. By simulating real-world deployment conditions, the hardware allows engineering labs to perform comprehensive compliance, reliability, and interoperability testing. The system integrates with Enduro validation software to provide deep protocol insights, effectively minimizing the risk of performance bottlenecks in high-volume development cycles.
Nick Kriczky, Vice President of Product Marketing at Teledyne LeCroy’s Protocol Solutions Group, noted that while the new standard offers unprecedented bandwidth, it complicates product readiness. These platforms aim to shorten development timelines by providing a scalable environment for all major enterprise and hyperscale NVMe form factors. The R300-G6-PRO and DE200-G6-PRO are available for order immediately, targeting developers who require rigorous qualification to meet the demands of high-performance computing and data-intensive applications.
