Mayor Lynda Provido Johnson lauded the dentist for his dual impact, noting that his work has not only served local patients but has fundamentally reshaped global standards for periodontal care. Dr. Gregg, founder of Millennium Dental Technologies and the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD), has spent decades in the city advancing minimally invasive treatments, most notably the FDA-cleared LANAP protocol. This technique allows for the regeneration of bone and tissue, offering a distinct alternative to traditional gum surgery.

Beyond his commercial success, Dr. Gregg has fostered a significant philanthropic footprint. The IALD, which operates as a nonprofit research and training center, has provided over $17 million in donated dental care to underserved patients through a scholarship initiative. Since the program’s inception, more than 1,700 individuals have received treatment at the Cerritos facility. Dawn M. Gregg, DDS, the institute’s training director, emphasized that the recognition underscores the intersection of their clinical education efforts and local service commitments, ensuring that advanced dental benefits reach those who might otherwise lack access to specialized care.
