President Jane Sidebottom emphasized that the organization's progress relies on leaders willing to invest their expertise into creating new opportunities for women within the trade. Applicants are expected to demonstrate at least five years of leadership experience, alongside a firm grasp of nonprofit governance, financial oversight, and fundraising strategies. The board is specifically looking for individuals who can translate long-term goals into actionable results while maintaining the group's commitment to education and professional development.

Prospective candidates may submit self-nominations through the organization's website until September 16. Following the submission window, a nominating committee will conduct interviews in early October, with a final board vote scheduled for November 2026. This selection process is a vital step for the nonprofit as it expands its national reach and continues its mission of providing scholarships, mentorship, and networking events for women across the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration sectors.
