Predoc Launches AI Tool to Unify Fragmented Medical Records
Fewer than 15% of physicians report success in reconciling external medical data within their existing systems, leaving clinical histories scattered across PDFs, faxes, and disparate networks. New York-based Predoc aims to bridge this gap with a data layer designed to transform fragmented health records into structured, longitudinal patient histories.
The platform aggregates information from health information exchanges, pharmacies, and imaging networks, normalizing the data to strip away inconsistencies. By converting unstructured scans and documents into clean, machine-readable formats, Predoc seeks to eliminate the administrative burden that currently forces clinicians to spend hours hunting for patient information.
"Every hour a clinical team spends reconciling conflicting information is an operational cost that compounds across an organization," said Nishant Hari, founder and CEO of Predoc. The tool integrates directly into existing electronic health record workflows, providing doctors with a unified history rather than a collection of isolated files. Dr. Kaushal Kulkarni, the company’s chief medical officer, noted that the technology is intended to alleviate the frustration patients feel when their providers lack access to their complete medical background. Since its founding in 2022, the startup has processed over 10 million pages of medical records, focusing on the infrastructure required to make AI applications viable in real-world clinical environments.
