The service functions as a dedicated storage reserve rather than a subscription box or a credit-based system. Each transaction secures physical inventory, which is then housed in a climate-controlled, insured facility alongside the retailer's main stock. Customers maintain full control over their holdings, with the ability to adjust or pause their purchasing schedule and request shipment whenever their reserve reaches a desired volume.

CEO Dan Wolgin noted that the initiative provides a practical hedge against the supply constraints that frequently drive up prices. Because the platform leverages the company’s existing logistics network—which has processed over 2 billion rounds since 2011—users can theoretically avoid the scramble for inventory during peak demand periods. While active accounts incur no membership or storage fees, the company continues to offer its standard retail store for those requiring immediate delivery. Qualifying shipments of $199 or more currently ship free, incentivizing users to manage their stockpile as a long-term resource.
