Plaud pivots from AI pins to recording earbuds

The hardware setup includes three microphones in each earbud, capable of picking up audio from two meters away, alongside 16MB of local storage per bud. Plaud rates the earbuds for six hours of continuous recording. For longer sessions, the charging case provides an additional 36 hours of battery life and houses four more microphones with a five-meter range, plus 512MB of internal storage.

Beyond basic recording, the system leverages Plaud Intelligence to process speech and execute tasks. An integrated button on the case triggers the Plaud Agent, which bridges the recorded data with external platforms such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, and Slack. This workflow aims to automate administrative tasks directly from spoken notes. The Plaud One is priced at $249.99 and is currently available for preorder, with the first units scheduled to ship in late September.
