Kidcreate Studio Launches National Art Curriculum for Children

Moving beyond one-off craft projects, Minneapolis-based Kidcreate Studio has introduced Kidcreate Academy, a structured, year-round curriculum. The program aims to transition children from casual creative play to formal skill development, marking the largest educational investment in the company’s history as it targets a goal of reaching one million students by 2030.

The academy organizes students aged 4 to 12 into three distinct tiers: Art 1 for ages 4–5, Art 2 for ages 6–8, and Art 3 for ages 9–12. By shifting from intermittent workshops to a semester-based model, the brand intends to provide a consistent pathway for children to master foundational disciplines including painting, sculpture, and mixed media.

Managing Partner Justin Nihiser describes the initiative as a bridge between creative freedom and technical instruction. Beyond classroom hours, the program incorporates sketchbook assignments and formal gallery showcases, designed to provide tangible markers of progress. This curriculum shift supports the company's broader objective to establish itself as a primary national platform for accessible creative development. Enrollment is currently open at participating locations, with full program details available on the company website.
