Autonomous Kitchen: wan AIChef ultra Debuts on Indiegogo
After a high-profile debut at CES 2026, the wan AIChef ultra is officially heading to market. The cooking robot, which uses NVIDIA-powered processing and AI vision to identify ingredients and manage heat without manual input, launches on Indiegogo on September 1 with early bird pricing starting at $1,799.

The appliance aims to solve the persistent friction of home cooking by replacing five separate kitchen tools—including the oven, steamer, and slow cooker—with a single, automated unit. Unlike traditional smart devices that rely on static timers, the system utilizes a 12MP AI camera and Heimann thermal imaging to observe the cooking process in real time. By pairing this visual data with its proprietary wan AiOS, the robot dynamically adjusts temperatures to prevent overcooking and optimize nutrient retention.
Development of the device spanned seven years, evolving from early prototypes to a hardware stack featuring the NVIDIA Jetson Orin Nano processor. The company emphasizes a privacy-first approach, noting that all taste preference data is stored locally rather than in the cloud. Following its September launch, the company plans to ship units to the United States, Canada, Australia, and parts of Europe by November 2026, with retail pricing set to climb to $3,999 once the initial crowdfunding period concludes.
