The engineering team utilized structural piers and retaining walls to secure the facility within the challenging terrain. To manage long-term maintenance, the design incorporates a roof vault and a davit crane, allowing crews to service equipment from above rather than through lateral access. The structure also features double sound doors, a specific architectural adjustment to address community concerns regarding noise levels.

Beyond structural stabilization, the upgrade includes modern SCADA monitoring systems, new piping, and updated electrical components. While this project modernizes the pump station, the utility company has signaled that the adjacent 50,000-gallon water tanks are slated for a separate replacement effort in the future. According to External Affairs Lead Josh Stratton, the investment balances the necessity of dependable water service with the aesthetic and acoustic requirements of the residential neighborhood.
