With a 286% revenue surge between 2022 and 2025, Savannah-based construction services marketplace Detritus has earned its second consecutive appearance on the Inc. 5000 list. Ranked 1,222nd nationally, the platform continues to scale by digitizing the fragmented market for portable sanitation, dumpsters, and site logistics.
The company, which connects over 7,000 local vendors with contractors and Fortune 500 clients, has expanded its reach by providing small-scale operators with the technological infrastructure typically reserved for larger, institutional players. This growth trajectory is fueled by recent investments in sales and operations, overseen by CEO Render Braswell and Chief Technology Officer David Waltz. The business now employs 53 people, a significant jump from its 2018 origins when co-founders Sean Dane Kellogg and Max Lemaigre launched the venture from a spare bedroom with $5,000 in startup capital.
Looking ahead, the firm plans to leverage its current momentum to deepen its integration of AI tools and expand its enterprise market footprint. By acting as a single point of contact for services ranging from temporary fencing to septic pumping, the platform aims to maintain its competitive edge against national incumbents. Braswell attributes this sustained success to the foundational strategy of modernizing a historically low-tech industry, a bet that has yielded consistent year-over-year expansion.
