Apple has increased the monthly cost of its streaming service to $14.99, marking the fourth price adjustment in four years. The hike, effective immediately for both new and existing subscribers, arrives shortly after the platform bolstered its library with high-profile original programming and an expanded slate of live sports content.
The updated pricing structure pushes the annual subscription plan to $119, a $20 increase from the previous $99 rate. Subscribers opting for the Apple One bundle—which aggregates the streaming service with other company offerings—will now pay $21.95 per month, up from the prior $19.95. Current users can expect notifications regarding these changes ahead of their next billing cycle.
This shift follows a consistent pattern of rising costs across the company’s ecosystem. The company recently adjusted pricing for nearly all hardware lines and is reportedly preparing to increase premiums for AppleCare Plus. The streaming service’s latest move coincides with the premiere of the fourth season of Ted Lasso and a strategic push into live broadcasting, including Major League Soccer, MLB, and F1 coverage.
