CHINT Debuts High-Voltage Grid Solutions at CIGRE 2026
As Europe grapples with the dual pressures of rapid electrification and the surging energy demands of AI data centers, CHINT unveiled a suite of advanced power technologies at CIGRE 2026. The exhibition underscored a shift toward integrated infrastructure capable of managing grid stability during the continent's accelerated energy transition.

The company’s presentation focused on high-capacity hardware, including 1,000 kV low-noise power transformers and a range of SF₆-free switchgear up to 420 kV. These components are designed to replace aging infrastructure with more sustainable alternatives, directly addressing the industry's push for lower environmental impact. By moving away from traditional insulating gases, CHINT aims to provide utilities with modernized, high-performance equipment that meets stringent European regulatory standards.
Central to the display was the 13.8 MW PCS Integrated Substation, a plug-and-play solution intended to simplify large-scale energy storage deployment. By reducing on-site installation time and minimizing the physical footprint, the system allows grid operators to react more nimbly to peak demand spikes. This modular approach extends to the company’s new Data Center Power Pods, which integrate storage and distribution to support the specific load requirements of AI-heavy digital infrastructure. During the event, CHINT leadership emphasized that the future of grid management lies in these holistic, service-oriented partnerships rather than the delivery of isolated hardware components.
