The newly branded Coller EQT will function as a dedicated business segment within the parent firm, maintaining independence in its origination and investment decision-making. The combination adds nine distinct strategies to EQT’s portfolio, strengthening its presence in private equity and credit secondaries while deepening its reach among insurance and private wealth clients. EQT management has signaled a clear growth target, aiming to double the secondary platform's fee-generating assets under management within four years.

Jeremy Coller, who joins EQT’s Executive Committee as Head and CIO of the new unit, views the consolidation as a pivotal shift for the sector. He noted that the integration provides the resources to scale operations while preserving the firm's 36-year legacy in the market. The transaction involved a base consideration of 80.36 million EQT ordinary shares, with an additional $500 million in contingent consideration tied to performance metrics through March 2029.
