The acquisition of Wavicle’s assets positions Deloitte as a primary orchestrator for Databricks, enhancing its ability to manage data across all major hyperscalers. The firm plans to leverage Wavicle’s engineering expertise to build custom, industry-specific solutions, moving beyond general consulting into high-velocity, forward-deployed engineering. This integration arrives shortly after Deloitte was named a 2026 Databricks Partner of the Year in North America, as well as in the banking and public sector categories.

Jason Salzetti, CEO of Deloitte Consulting LLP, noted that the combination addresses persistent data roadblocks that often hinder large-scale AI transformations. For Wavicle, the deal offers a platform to apply its technical leadership on a global scale. According to managing director Naveen Venkatapathi, the collaboration will focus on making artificial intelligence functional for enterprises operating in the real economy. Sundhar Sekhar, chief services officer at Deloitte, emphasized that modernizing data ecosystems remains the critical prerequisite for enterprises attempting to differentiate themselves through AI, a gap this acquisition intends to close by merging technical depth with broad industry knowledge.
