SUNON Targets Industrial Cooling Efficiency with New Fan Technology
Stifling temperatures on factory floors often sap worker productivity and inflate utility bills, prompting a shift toward high-volume, low-speed cooling systems. Kaohsiung-based manufacturer SUNON is now deploying bionic ceiling fans and portable industrial units designed to lower perceived temperatures while cutting energy consumption through advanced motor efficiency.

The company’s HVLS ceiling fans utilize seven aircraft-grade aluminum blades shaped to generate broad, turbulence-free airflow at lower rotational speeds. By moving away from high-speed mechanical reliance, these fans create a natural breeze effect with minimal noise. At the heart of the system is a proprietary gearless BLDC motor, which achieves over 90% efficiency. Beyond summer cooling, the units feature a reverse mode to redistribute trapped warm air near ceilings during colder months, offering year-round climate management for warehouses and exhibition halls.
For localized needs, SUNON has introduced portable industrial fans featuring a reinforced hexagonal honeycomb frame. Standing two meters tall and equipped with heavy-duty casters, the units allow for single-person repositioning on production lines or at event venues. These fans, which hold a 2026 Taiwan Excellence Award, incorporate IP55-rated waterproofing and the same low-noise BLDC motor technology found in the ceiling models. All products utilize EU RoHS-compliant materials, with the company providing engineering support to tailor setups for specific facility layouts.
