Nscale Secures $3 Billion for AI Data Centers in Texas and North Carolina
Nscale has finalized $3 billion in senior secured financing to scale its AI infrastructure, securing investment-grade ratings for two massive projects. The capital, split between developments in Ward County, Texas, and Madison County, North Carolina, will bankroll the deployment of next-generation GPU clusters and liquid-cooling hardware.
The financing package provides $1.85 billion for the Texas campus and $1.2 billion for the North Carolina site. The Ward County facility is designed for high-density compute, utilizing direct liquid cooling to support NVIDIA GB300 and VR200 systems at a 275 MW IT load. Meanwhile, the 96-acre Madison County site will undergo a significant retrofit to accommodate 40 MW of AI-focused capacity, including updated networking and storage infrastructure.
J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs acted as joint lead arrangers and bookrunners for the transaction. The investment-grade status of these delayed draw term loan facilities signals a growing institutional confidence in the specialized infrastructure required to power large-scale AI training and inference. By integrating power, software, and hardware, Nscale aims to lower the barrier for enterprises and governments looking to deploy superintelligence at scale.
