Boehringer Ingelheim Opens New U.S. Animal Health Hub in Georgia
A donation of parasite protection to the Johns Creek Police Department K-9 unit marked the official opening of Boehringer Ingelheim’s new U.S. Animal Health headquarters. The facility in Johns Creek, Georgia, represents a strategic move to consolidate the company’s regional operations and tap into a growing life sciences corridor.
The new headquarters is designed to foster collaboration across the company’s U.S. animal health divisions. Peter Ploeger, U.S. Animal Health Country Managing Director, noted that the site was specifically engineered to bring teams together to accelerate the development of solutions for companion animals and livestock. The location complements existing manufacturing and research sites in Athens and Gainesville, further cementing the company's industrial footprint in the state.
Georgia Governor Brian P. Kemp praised the investment, citing the state’s business environment as a primary draw for global life science firms. The opening event served as a platform to highlight the company’s broader mission, which integrates research, development, and commercial activities. By concentrating these functions in Georgia, Boehringer Ingelheim aims to strengthen its ability to address unmet medical needs within the global veterinary market while maintaining its long-standing focus on animal welfare.
