XPeng Records 39,107 Vehicle Deliveries in August
Guangzhou-based XPeng reported 39,107 vehicle deliveries for August 2026, marking a 4% increase over the previous year. The results arrive as the company shifts its focus toward autonomous infrastructure, highlighted by a new permit for remote testing of driverless robotaxis on public roads.

The August performance reflects a steady climb for the manufacturer, supported by the recent debut and pre-sale launch of the G9L model on August 11. Beyond sales figures, the company is intensifying its push into autonomous mobility. Regulators in Guangzhou recently granted XPeng permission to conduct remote testing of intelligent connected vehicles, allowing trials on designated roads without an onboard safety operator. This milestone signals a transition toward fully driverless operations within the city's network.
Sustainability metrics remain central to the company's reporting, with XPeng estimating that electric vehicles delivered between January and August 2026 will offset approximately 3.72 million tons of greenhouse gas emissions. This reduction, according to company data, is equivalent to the carbon sequestration capacity of 61.6 million young trees grown over a decade.
