With a symbolic $68.88 million close for its sixth fund, Cherubic Ventures has pushed its total assets under management past the half-billion-dollar mark. Founded in 2015 by Matt Cheng, the firm has maintained a consistent strategy of backing companies at their earliest institutional stage. This approach recently yielded a significant success with Sudo AI, a robotics venture co-founded by Hao Su and Robin Han. Two years after its inception, the company has reached a valuation near $2 billion, validating the firm’s bet on embodied AI and 3D vision technology.

Fund VI will continue this trajectory, targeting infrastructure, developer tools, and healthcare innovation. The firm’s portfolio already includes notable names such as Entire, the developer platform led by former GitHub CEO Thomas Dohmke, and patent technology provider Patlytics. To date, Cherubic Ventures has supported over 200 companies, including high-profile exits like the PayPal acquisition of Paidy and the public listings of Hims & Hers and 91APP. As the firm embarks on its next chapter, Cheng remains committed to the "Stay Early" philosophy, prioritizing high-conviction bets before market validation is fully realized.
