The collaboration integrates Gemtek’s photonic integration and product development expertise with Dixon’s established manufacturing scale and supply-chain logistics. By producing optical transceivers and Bidirectional Optical Sub-Assemblies (BOSA) on Indian soil, the companies aim to enhance supply-chain resilience and diversify production geography. This move addresses the rapid infrastructure expansion required by data centers and cloud service providers navigating the current AI-driven bandwidth boom.

Gemtek intends to demonstrate its full range of connectivity hardware, spanning from 1G to 1.6T solutions, at the upcoming India Mobile Congress. The event, scheduled for October 7–10, 2026, at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi, will serve as the primary platform for the partners to showcase their roadmaps for next-generation photonic integration. This initiative underscores a broader industry shift toward localized, high-performance manufacturing to sustain global network growth.
