SB Energy Files for IPO to Scale AI Infrastructure
Redwood City-based SB Energy has officially filed a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission to launch an initial public offering. The company aims to list its common stock on the Nasdaq Global Select Market and Nasdaq Texas under the ticker symbol SBE to bolster its gigawatt-scale power operations.

The company has not yet finalized the number of shares to be offered or the specific price range for the debut. Alongside the primary U.S. listing, SB Energy plans to extend a public offer to retail investors in the United Kingdom through a platform managed by Marex Financial, adhering to Financial Conduct Authority regulations.
A massive syndicate of financial institutions is managing the offering. J.P. Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, and Mizuho are serving as joint lead book-running managers, supported by a broad group of additional managers including BNP Paribas, Jefferies, and RBC Capital Markets. The registration statement is currently pending SEC approval, meaning the company cannot solicit or accept buy orders until the filing becomes effective.
SB Energy positions itself as a power-first infrastructure provider designed specifically for the requirements of the AI economy. By developing and owning large-scale data center and energy capacity, the firm intends to resolve compute-speed bottlenecks that currently constrain the technology sector.
