Dustin Batson Leads Management Buyout of ColorLab

Greenville-based TPM has finalized the sale of its ColorLab division to long-time vice president Dustin Batson. The management-led acquisition, supported by local partner Cowart Awards, marks a strategic shift for TPM as it pivots focus toward software development and AI-driven solutions like its TrebleHook platform.

For existing clients, the transition promises operational continuity. Batson will retain the current staff and service infrastructure, ensuring that ongoing projects and billing cycles remain unaffected. The move allows TPM to streamline its corporate focus while granting ColorLab the autonomy to expand its creative production and signage capabilities as an independent entity.

Chris Fay, president of TPM, credited Batson’s instrumental role in the company's historical success as the primary driver for the deal. Following the transition, ColorLab is scheduled to relocate its headquarters to a new facility at 910 Laurens Road by the end of September. This move places the company directly across the street from its current site, maintaining its presence in the local Greenville business district.
