Haier Biomedical Debuts Automated Cold Storage at ISPE Singapore
At the ISPE Singapore Conference & Exhibition, Haier Biomedical unveiled its latest automated –80°C storage solution, signaling a strategic shift from standalone laboratory hardware to integrated, data-driven biopharmaceutical infrastructure. The debut underscores the company's focus on bridging the gap between research-stage sample management and industrial-scale production.

The new automated system pairs ultra-low-temperature storage with intelligent sample tracking to enhance traceability in high-value pharmaceutical workflows. Alongside this debut, the company showcased a pilot freeze dryer designed to streamline the transition from laboratory research to manufacturing. These additions form part of a broader push to provide connected, multi-category solutions that address the complexities of modern pharmaceutical R&D and quality control.
During a dedicated session, the company demonstrated its Smart RFID ULT Storage Solution, which eliminates the need for manual line-of-sight scanning by linking physical samples directly to digital records. The system records movement history and location data for diverse formats, including cryovials and bottles, effectively digitizing the chain of custody. This transition toward scenario-specific solutions appears to be yielding results, with pharmaceutical-related revenue climbing 23% year-over-year in the first half of 2026, while AI-integrated business segments expanded to account for 18% of total earnings.
