JAMS Software Enters Incident Management Market With New Alerting Tool
Tired of bloated, overpriced incident management tools, JAMS Software has launched its own on-call alerting platform. The service, which debuted September 1, 2026, focuses on reliable escalation through voice, SMS, and messaging apps, offering a free tier for small teams and direct integration with major IT service desk platforms.

The Middletown-based company developed the tool after finding existing market options overly complex and expensive. Unlike competitors that often gate on-call scheduling and escalation behind separate modules, JAMS includes these core functions in its standard paid plans. The software accepts alerts via email, webhooks, or REST APIs and routes them through rotation schedules until a human acknowledges the issue.
CEO Peter Hegland noted that the product was built to solve the specific needs of service desk, DevOps, and batch processing teams. It supports two-way synchronization with Azure Monitor, ServiceNow, and Zendesk, allowing engineers to manage incident resolutions directly from their notification channels. Pricing starts at $6 per user per month for the Starter tier, with a free plan available for teams of up to five members.
