Harvey Industries Debuts Next-Gen Woodworking Tools and Civic Holiday

Montclair has officially designated an annual day to honor the craft of woodworking, marking a departure from typical industry milestones for Harvey Industries. The company used this momentum at the International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta to transition two major prototypes into full production while teasing future safety-focused machinery.

The SNIPER SD-20 Intelligent Drill Press now anchors the company’s shop lineup, bringing software-guided precision to a category long dominated by analog tools. It offers repeatable workflows and accuracy levels previously reserved for CNC equipment. Joining it in the commercial market is the BABY GYRO AIR G-200H, a high-performance vacuum system boasting 550 Air Watts and a silent 75 dB noise profile, effectively replacing standard shop filtration setups.

Beyond current retail offerings, Harvey previewed the D-1 Dream Saw, a prototype featuring non-contact hand detection that halts the blade without damaging the mechanism or requiring replacement cartridges. The company also introduced the E-Lift Router Lift, a motorized height-control system designed to integrate with its existing COMPASS framework. Founded by Jack Xu in 1999, the manufacturer continues to expand its footprint from its Montclair headquarters, where the newly established Montclair Woodworking & Craftsmanship Day aims to cement the city as a permanent hub for trade innovation.
