Amazon Teamsters Prepare Strike at Massive Riverside Hub
Workers at Amazon’s DJT6 warehouse in Riverside, California, plan to walk off the job this Wednesday, September 2, in a one-day strike. The action targets the company’s refusal to recognize the Teamsters as a bargaining representative and follows a series of alleged retaliations against staff seeking safer conditions.
The walkout marks the first time both primary shifts at the nation’s largest Amazon facility have coordinated a stoppage, effectively idling a critical domestic hub for 24 hours. Organized under Teamsters Local 1932 since 2025, employees contend that management continues to bypass federal labor laws. The union alleges that workers have faced systematic retaliation for exercising their legal rights to organize for better wages and improved safety standards.
Picketing is scheduled to begin at 6 a.m. PT at the facility located on the March Air Reserve Base. This confrontation highlights the ongoing tension between labor organizers and the retail giant, as the union attempts to force recognition at one of the company's most vital logistical nodes.
