USPS Unveils New Hanukkah Commemorative Stamp in New Orleans

Designed by USPS art director Antonio Alcala, the new Forever stamp features original illustrations by Lisa Perrin. The artwork centers on a dark blue dreidel accented with rust-colored Hebrew letters, set against a vibrant turquoise background and framed by floral motifs in orange and cream. The stamp will be available in panes of 20, retaining its value at the current First-Class Mail rate regardless of future price adjustments.

Attendance at the New Orleans dedication, held at 4238 St. Charles Avenue, is free to the public, though the Postal Service requires individual registration at usps.com/Hanukkahstamp. The release continues a long-standing tradition of recognizing the holiday, which commemorates the miracle of the oil through rituals like lighting the menorah and preparing traditional foods such as latkes and sufganiyot.
