Panasonic Debuts Industry-First Global Shutter PTZ Camera Series
Panasonic is upgrading professional broadcast capabilities with the launch of the AW-UE200 and AW-UER200 series. These remote 4K cameras mark a technological milestone as the first PTZ units to incorporate a global shutter MOS sensor, specifically engineered to eliminate motion distortion during high-speed live event and studio production.
The new series targets the growing demand for precision in fast-paced environments, such as sports broadcasting. The UE200 model features a pan acceleration of 1800°/sec, allowing operators to track rapid movements with high accuracy. For social media-focused creators, the UER200 variant introduces a specialized roll mechanism with a range of -200° to +200°, facilitating seamless transitions between vertical 9:16 and horizontal 16:9 aspect ratios.
Beyond speed, the cameras address common lighting challenges in modern studios. The sensors minimize flicker from LED walls and stage lighting, ensuring consistent image quality. Both models support high-definition recording at up to 180 fps for slow-motion replays, while the UE210 and UER210 variants provide native support for SMPTE ST 2110 and Dante protocols. Scheduled for release in 2027, the series also simplifies installation in tight spaces through an 80° wide-angle lens and one-touch horizontal leveling on the UER200.
