GigaStar Launches Secondary Trading Platform for Creator Economy Assets

Investors can now trade digital securities tied to YouTube revenue following the launch of GigaStar Trading. The platform, which operates as an SEC-registered Alternative Trading System, allows users to buy and sell stakes in creator channels, marking a transition from static crowdfunding to an active, regulated secondary market.

The rollout follows GigaStar’s recent recognition at the Chicago Innovation Awards and a ceremonial bell-ringing at NASDAQ in New York City. While the company previously limited participants to purchasing securities through its Regulation CF crowdfunding portal, the new broker-dealer entity creates a bridge for liquidity. By connecting the primary market with an ATS, GigaStar allows investors to trade rights to future AdSense revenue once the mandatory 12-month holding period for initial offerings concludes.

David Hunt, CEO of GigaStar Securities, framed the development as a move to formalize the creator economy as a distinct asset class. The platform currently holds registration with both the SEC and FINRA, positioning itself as a specialized venue for digital asset securities. Since late July, the trading platform has attracted over 1,000 accounts and cleared more than $100,000 in volume. This growth complements the company's broader ecosystem, which has already facilitated $1.5 million in revenue distributions to its 30,000 registered investors. Despite these milestones, the company maintains that investments remain speculative, noting that secondary market liquidity is not guaranteed and participants face the risk of total loss.
