GoDaddy Faces Securities Class Action Over Alleged Discount Misleading
A securities class action lawsuit filed in the Southern District of New York alleges that GoDaddy Inc. misled shareholders by omitting critical details about an active $4.99 domain promotion that undermined its financial guidance and suppressed upfront booking growth throughout late 2025.

The complaint, brought by Levi & Korsinsky, LLP, targets the period between September 3, 2025, and February 24, 2026. Plaintiffs contend that while management publicly touted a strategy of rising order sizes and consistent demand, the company was simultaneously running a aggressive one-year promotional program for dotcom domains. This initiative reportedly shifted the customer term mix away from higher-value multi-year contracts, directly contradicting earlier assertions that front-of-funnel discounting had been discontinued.
The discrepancy surfaced on February 24, 2026, when GoDaddy reported that full-year bookings growth reached only 7%, missing its 8% target. Following the disclosure, shares of GDDY tumbled 14%, dropping $13.18 to close at $79.12 on heavy trading volume. Joseph E. Levi, lead attorney on the case, argues that the company’s boilerplate risk warnings failed to account for the specific, quantifiable impact of the promotional pricing on near-term revenue. Investors seeking to serve as lead plaintiff in the case have until October 20, 2026, to apply.
