Darin Johnson Joins Atreon Orthopedics Board
Former Exactech CEO Darin Johnson has joined the board of directors at Atreon Orthopedics, bringing two decades of experience in scaling medical technology businesses. His appointment arrives as the Dublin, Ohio-based company seeks to accelerate the commercialization of its proprietary Autobiologic synthetic healing platform and expand its market reach.

Johnson previously led Exactech as CEO, managing a global workforce of 900 employees across 13 countries. During his tenure, he transformed the company's Extremities Business Unit, growing the Equinoxe shoulder platform into a dominant international franchise. His background also includes serving as a board director for JointMedica Ltd, where he guided the commercialization of an FDA-designated breakthrough hip resurfacing technology.
Atreon CEO Ronald Bracken cited Johnson’s dual proficiency in operational strategy and regulatory navigation as critical assets for the company’s next phase of growth. Johnson holds a degree in Business Economics from Brown University and began his career in investment banking at firms including Morgan Keegan and Raymond James Capital. He now shifts his focus to Atreon’s synthetic matrices, which are designed to improve tissue remodeling and provide a consistent alternative to traditional, tissue-derived orthopedic products.
