Telit Cinterion to Launch Domestic IoT Module Production in Pennsylvania
Starting in October 2026, Telit Cinterion will shift a portion of its cellular module manufacturing to a new 8,000 square-foot facility in Bristol, Pennsylvania. This move marks the first time a major Western IoT player has localized its production chain to bolster security for domestic defense and critical infrastructure.
The facility will handle assembly, testing, and quality assurance for 4G and 5G IoT modules, alongside OEM products like routers and gateways. By moving these operations stateside, the company aims to improve supply chain transparency and traceability, aligning its output with tightening regulatory standards in the United States and allied nations. Engineering and supply chain oversight will remain anchored at the firm's existing offices in Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, and Boca Raton, Florida.
CEO Paolo Dal Pino stated the expansion is designed to enhance resilience in the face of global supply chain instability. The initial phase of the project is expected to generate at least 50 high-value technical jobs. This investment serves as a foundation for the company's long-term strategy to expand its domestic manufacturing footprint and support AI-enabled solutions within the U.S. market.
