Iron Workers Union Elects Kevin Bryenton as General President

Bryenton, the union’s 14th general president, enters the role with a mandate to steer the organization through a five-year term focused on industrial expansion and member advocacy. His administration intends to prioritize training, safety protocols, and mental health support, while positioning the union to capitalize on rising demand within the infrastructure, energy, and data center sectors. A generational ironworker, Bryenton began his career as an apprentice and has held positions across local, district, and international levels.

Working alongside Mahoney and Beard, the new leadership aims to increase market share and solidify ties with signatory contractors. The team faces the task of balancing growth with the protection of prevailing wage standards and the ongoing evolution of construction and manufacturing landscapes. As the union shifts its focus toward the next half-decade, Bryenton emphasized that the organization must remain aggressive in its organizing efforts to maintain its influence across the United States and Canada.
