Govee Targets Ceilings With New Smart Lighting Solutions

At CES 2026, Govee shifted its focus upward, unveiling two distinct smart lighting systems designed to transform ceiling spaces. By blending high-density RGB arrays with daylight-mimicking white light, the company aims to move beyond simple illumination to create immersive, customizable environments in windowless rooms and creative living areas.

The Sky Ceiling Light aims to simulate outdoor conditions, acting as a virtual skylight for spaces lacking natural illumination. It utilizes custom LED technology to manage color temperature transitions from 2,700K to 6,500K, reaching a peak brightness of 5,200 lumens. Govee emphasizes the unit's ability to produce refined white light, intended to foster a calming atmosphere through realistic shifts from daylight to sunset hues.

For those prioritizing aesthetics over natural mimicry, the Ceiling Light Ultra functions as a programmable canvas. It houses 616 individually addressable RGB LEDs, offering one of the highest densities currently available in the category. Users can manage the display through the Govee app, which includes the updated AI Lighting Bot 2.0 to assist in creating custom presets or selecting from over 20 pre-configured lighting effects. Pricing and release schedules for both models remain unconfirmed.
