The Play HDMI sync box 4K enters the market at $149.99, a sharp reduction from the $385 price tag attached to the 8K model. To achieve this lower price point, the device features a single HDMI input rather than the four found on its higher-end counterpart. Complementing this, the company introduced the Play Screen Sync camera for $119.99, which captures on-screen visuals via a top-mounted fisheye lens.

While Signify notes that the HDMI-based boxes offer greater precision, the camera system provides a distinct advantage: it functions with native TV apps that external HDMI devices often struggle to reach. Both products are available immediately, offering users a choice between the high-fidelity connection of the Sync Box 4K or the universal compatibility of the camera-based solution.
