Awol Vision’s new LuxVision breaks this pattern, integrating mechanical optical lens shift into a 4K 120Hz system capable of casting a 120-inch display from just 7.5 inches away.
The LuxVision aims to bridge the gap between high-end home theater equipment and living room aesthetics. By utilizing physical lens movement rather than software-based manipulation, the projector preserves the integrity of its 6,000 ISO lumen image. This focus on hardware precision positions the unit as a viable alternative for those who prefer to avoid traditional large-format television sets.
Performance metrics target high-end gamers and sports enthusiasts. The device features 1ms input lag, Dolby Vision Gaming HDR, and support for Variable Refresh Rate and Auto Low Latency Mode. Connectivity is handled by a robust suite of ports, including three HDMI 2.1 inputs and a DisplayPort, allowing for simultaneous viewing of four sources. With a launch price set at $6,499, the unit arrives this October, though buyers should factor in the additional cost of an ambient light rejecting screen to maximize its output.
