Resonant Clinical Solutions Acquires Creapharm Bioservices
Resonant Clinical Solutions has acquired the French biobanking firm Creapharm Bioservices from Myonex, a strategic move to bolster its European footprint in the handling of sensitive cell and gene therapies. The deal integrates specialized cryogenic storage into Resonant’s global supply chain network as clinical pipelines shift toward increasingly complex biological modalities.
Based in Bailly-Romainvilliers, Creapharm Bioservices provides critical infrastructure for advanced therapy medicinal products, including vapor-phase nitrogen storage capable of reaching -196°C. This acquisition comes as demand for specialized storage surges: an August 2025 IQVIA study indicated that non-small-molecule assets now represent 46% of clinical trial starts, a significant rise from 38% five years prior.
Christophe Berthoux, CEO of Resonant, noted that the integration strengthens the company's ability to manage the entire clinical trial lifecycle. The move adds GMP and GDP-compliant capabilities to Resonant's portfolio, along with expertise in handling Class 1 and Class 2 genetically modified organisms. Greg Lavin, CEO of Myonex, stated that the divestiture allows his firm to refocus on its core packaging and supply operations. Financial details of the transaction remain undisclosed.
