Dyson Adds Liquid Cooling to New Hair Straightener

The new hardware builds on the 2020 Corrale model, retaining the signature flexing copper plates that apply heat at temperatures exceeding 400 degrees Fahrenheit. The addition of water-filled pipes creates a dual-action process: the plates straighten the strands while the cooling mechanism immediately resets the hair’s temperature. This approach is intended to leave hair feeling smoother and cooler to the touch compared to standard heat-based stylers.

Alongside the straightener, Dyson is releasing the $249 Airsmooth dryer brush. This tool incorporates the company’s existing Supersonic drying technology with a redesigned brush head. The attachment utilizes a teardrop shape for volume and proprietary looped bristles that collapse under tension to prevent snags. To further protect hair, an onboard sensor monitors heat 100 times per second, adjusting output to minimize frizz and prevent heat-induced breakage.
