At IFA 2026 in Berlin, consumer robotics brand Hypershell unveiled Halo, a flagship full-leg exoskeleton engineered for rugged, all-terrain mobility. By coordinating four powered hip and knee joints through a unified carbon-fiber architecture, the device aims to provide natural, unrestricted physical assistance for outdoor explorers and heavy-duty users alike.

The Halo system marks a significant departure from modular wearable designs. By utilizing a continuous carbon-fiber load-bearing frame, the exoskeleton allows hip and knee motors to function as a singular, synchronized unit. This integration is managed by the HyperIntuition 2.0 algorithm, which employs a Mixture-of-Experts architecture to process movement data from over 30 onboard sensors. The system anticipates wearer intent with 200-millisecond lead times, adjusting support up to 2,500 times per second to ensure fluid transitions across varying surfaces.

Hardware specifications emphasize both power and portability. The HyperDrive Pro motor system generates 1,490 W of peak output while maintaining a total system weight of 2.6 kg. To facilitate long-range excursions, the unit features a detachable PocketVolt battery providing a 20 km range. Designed for the field, the frame folds into a compact 8-liter volume, fitting inside standard mountaineering packs. Durability is bolstered by an IP54-rated shell, protecting the electronics from dust and moisture in unpredictable outdoor environments.

Personalization is handled by Shelly, an integrated AI assistant that adapts the device's assistance levels to the user’s specific gait and strength profile over time. The company is positioning the hardware as an essential tool for high-end trekking and heavy labor, with initial retail pricing starting at 2,299 USD for the limited-run Origin Edition. Official market rollout is scheduled to commence in November across the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, and China.
