Frank Verdecanna Joins Armadin as CFO to Lead Scaling Strategy
After a decade-long partnership at Mandiant, Frank Verdecanna is reuniting with CEO Kevin Mandia to oversee the financial expansion of AI-native cybersecurity firm Armadin. Verdecanna, who managed the fiscal operations during Mandiant’s $5.4 billion sale to Google, takes the helm as the company prepares for rapid enterprise market growth.

Verdecanna arrives at the Palo Alto-based startup with over 30 years of experience in technology finance. He joins the firm following a record $189.9 million combined Seed and Series A funding round and the recent launch of Armadin Red. His mandate involves architecting the financial infrastructure necessary to scale operations as the company pivots toward broader commercial deployment.
Most recently, Verdecanna served as a Strategic Financial Advisor at Ballistic Ventures, where he focused on capital allocation and fundraising strategies. Kevin Mandia pointed to their shared history at Mandiant as the primary driver for the hire, noting that Verdecanna’s ability to maintain institutional discipline during high-growth periods is critical for Armadin’s current trajectory. For his part, Verdecanna described the role as an opportunity to build a finance organization capable of keeping pace with the company's aggressive product development in the face of emerging AI-driven security threats.
