Transamerica has named Kevin Murphy national sales manager for the large market and promoted Danny Kling to lead mid-market sales, marking a strategic shift to capture rising demand for retirement products. The appointments come as the Baltimore-based insurer pushes to capitalize on growth in pooled plans and stable value products. Murphy arrives with two decades of industry experience, having previously held senior roles at Broadridge and Franklin Templeton. He is tasked with overseeing large market distribution and broadening strategic partnerships to accelerate enterprise growth.

Kling, a veteran of the Transamerica internal ranks, steps into his new role following a successful tenure as divisional sales manager. He replaces Brian Walker, who is set to retire on October 1 after a lengthy career with the company. Zino stated that these moves are intended to reinforce the firm's client-focused service model and expand retirement access for Americans as the business continues its current upward trajectory.
