Four second-place finishes in the 2026 USA TODAY 10Best Readers' Choice Awards have cemented Mohegan Sun’s status as a premier destination for gaming and dining. The Uncasville-based resort outperformed hundreds of competitors in a public vote, while its entertainment venue simultaneously claimed a historic industry milestone.
The resort captured runner-up positions in four categories: Best Casino Hotel, Best Casino Outside of Las Vegas, Best Casino for Slots, and Best Casino Restaurant for its venue, The Farm Italy. These rankings reflect public sentiment gathered by USA TODAY, which compiles its nominees through a panel of industry experts before opening the floor to a four-week voting process. Jeff Hamilton, President and GM of Mohegan Sun, credited the success to the staff’s consistent delivery of high-end guest experiences.
Beyond these rankings, the property recently secured its ninth Casino of the Year - Arena award from the Academy of Country Music. The 10,000-seat Mohegan Sun Arena remains a centerpiece of the resort’s operations, hosting over 100 concerts annually. As the facility marks its 30th anniversary, the venue is preparing for a string of major performances, including appearances by Lainey Wilson and the Foo Fighters, reinforcing the site's role as a major hub for both gaming and live entertainment in the Northeast.
