Corporate AI Adoption Hits 97% but Enterprise Integration Stalls

While 97% of surveyed organizations report using AI in some capacity—a sharp rise from 87% in January—the shift toward deep, company-wide deployment has hit a bottleneck. According to the data, only 37% of firms currently provide formal AI training to employees, and one-third operate without any defined strategy for managing AI talent. This lack of preparation persists despite the acceleration of pilot programs and production-ready use cases.

Contrary to widespread narratives regarding labor market displacement, the report indicates that most companies are not prioritizing headcount reduction. Only 6% of respondents forecast job cuts, while 51% anticipate no significant impact on current staffing levels. Instead, 37% of businesses plan to evolve existing roles rather than replace them, and a mere 4% intend to hire external AI specialists. Neil Brown, Executive Director of the AI Leaders Council, noted that these factors regarding hiring and skill development will ultimately determine whether an organization’s AI initiative succeeds or fails.
