Multiconsult and Rejlers to Merge in Major Nordic Engineering Shake-up
Nordic engineering giants Multiconsult and Rejlers have unveiled a cross-border merger of equals, creating a combined consultancy group with nearly 8,000 employees. The deal aims to solidify a dominant regional position in energy and industry, targeting a market capitalisation of approximately 8 billion SEK.

The new entity, to be named Multiconsult Rejlers, will integrate Multiconsult’s broad Norwegian-based multidisciplinary expertise with Rejlers’ established footprint in Sweden, Finland, and the UAE. Shareholders of Multiconsult are set to receive 0.9725 Rejlers class B shares for each share held, resulting in a 54% ownership stake for the former and 46% for the latter. The merger is expected to yield annual cost synergies between 100 and 120 million SEK within three years.
Viktor Svensson, currently President and CEO of Rejlers, will lead the combined group, with Kristin O. Augestad serving as Deputy CEO. The company will maintain headquarters in Stockholm and a significant main office in Oslo, with a dual listing planned on Nasdaq Stockholm and Euronext Oslo Børs. Both the Rejler family and Stiftelsen Multiconsult have committed to remain long-term owners, ensuring stability for the newly formed Nordic platform.
The companies, which generated a combined revenue of 11.66 billion SEK over the twelve months ending June 30, 2026, expect the integration to accelerate growth in complex infrastructure and energy projects. The deal remains subject to regulatory approvals and the endorsement of extraordinary general meetings scheduled for October 19, 2026.
